First time juicing?
It can be quite daunting to contemplate up to 60 days when you first start so a 7 day juice fast could be a very good place to start. Consult your doctor first. When you start juicing your body will feel tired for a few days and you will feel hungry and have low energy. It’s slightly different for everyone and the reasons are that your body is sending signals to your mind that you are hungry and to get some food in (as this is what happened before the juicing) after a few days the mind switches off these signals and you start to think clearer, see better, have more energy and feel on top of the world.
It has been reported that after the seven days some of the signals have been restored so you no longer crave processed or sugary foods like you did before but be aware they can of course start creeping in.
I lost half a stone in my first week, it’s of course different for everyone but it’s not unusual to lose 4 or 5 pounds even in one day. Be aware that you will be needing to go to the bathroom a lot (don’t worry this is common).
7 day Juice fast – Reboot
If you are starting to feel sluggish or have put weight on since your first juice fast then you might want to consider from time to time doing a seven days reboot. This helps to re set your body and mind and get some goodness in bulk as well. Just start again as though you have never done it before.
Try not to give yourself a hard time if you fail at first. Yesterday has been and gone and it’s what you do today that matters. Studies have shown that when we give ourselves a hard time over failures we make it much harder to achieve our initial goals.
